A key strategic element is "locking" a row. To lock a row, a player must be the first to cross off the (the 12 in the Red/Yellow rows, or the 2 in the Blue/Green rows). You can only do this if you have already crossed off at least 5 numbers in that row. When a row is locked, immediately remove the colored die of that row from the game —no one can ever use that color again, and that row is locked for all players.
