Christine Envall was born on November 28, 1972, in Queensland, Australia, and was raised in a small central Victorian town. Growing up on a Bio-Dynamic Farm as the second child of 'educated poor' scientist-turned-farmer parents, her upbringing combined intellectual rigor with an adventurous spirit. At age 16, she spent a year in Brazil as a Rotary Exchange student before returning to Australia to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Nutrition at RMIT University, graduating in 1994.
