Bosch M7 Ecu Pinout
Tuners frequently need to connect to the Bosch M7 ECU on a workbench (bench flashing) to read the EEPROM or flash memory, bypass immobilizers (Immo-Off), or recover a bricked unit. Below is a standard baseline reference wiring schema for a standard , which is the most common variant of this family: Connection Type Pin Number (Standard ME7.5) Wire Color / Notes Permanent Power (+12V) Connect to stable 12V-14V power supply Ignition Power (+12V) Connect to switched 12V power supply Chassis Ground (GND) Pin 1 & Pin 2 Connect to power supply ground K-Line Diagnostics Connect to OBD Pin 7 / Flashing interface CAN-High (If applicable) Used for high-speed bench reading CAN-Low (If applicable) Used for high-speed bench reading
Example B — distributor-based ignition
Always use a stabilized 12V–14V DC power supply capable of delivering at least 2 to 3 Amps. Bosch M7 Ecu Pinout
Typically a shielded variable reluctance or Hall-effect sensor input essential for calculating ignition timing.
Check the dedicated ground pins for the ignition circuit. Loose or corroded ground pins on the ECU plug create electrical resistance, weakening the spark under high engine loads. Tuners frequently need to connect to the Bosch
Always cross-reference your specific ECU part number (found on the label, e.g., 0 261 B13 919
| Pin Number | Signal Name | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | 1 | Fuel Injector 1 | Output to fuel injector 1 | | 2 | Fuel Injector 2 | Output to fuel injector 2 | | 3 | Ignition Coil 1 | Output to ignition coil 1 | | ... | ... | ... | Check the dedicated ground pins for the ignition circuit
The ECU outputs a ground signal to trigger the main power relay, which then feeds stabilized power back into the ECU's power stages.

With ignition OFF, probe pins A1 & A2 to chassis ground. You should see battery voltage (12.4V+) . Check grounds at A13 & A14 – resistance to battery negative must be <1 Ohm.
