The story follows , a single mother and divorced office assistant, who has an affair with her new boss, David , a successful but distant psychiatrist. Shortly after, Louise befriends a mysterious woman named Adele – who turns out to be David’s wife.

It turns out Rob was never David's victim. Viewers initially believe Adele accidentally killed Rob via an overdose. But the reality is far more sinister. In a flashback, after learning how to project, Rob took advantage of the process. He convinced Adele to swap bodies with him. Once inside her body, Rob killed his own physical vessel (with Adele's spirit trapped inside), effectively murdering her and hiding the body in a well.
